TaoTronics, sold by Sunvalleytek, has quickly become one of the most popular brands of Bluetooth headphones in the world. The recipe for their success is a combination of a great build and sound quality for a very agreeable price. Their TT-BH10 Wireless Bluetooth Sports Earbuds follow the same formula and even manage to improve upon it in several important aspects.
Design and build quality
Featuring an oval design with a large silver ring and an elegant TaoTronics logo, these earbuds are definitely not bad looking at all. Their relatively small size and lightweight construction make them super comfortable even after many hours of uninterrupted listening. The comfort comes at the expense of fit because their profile is quite shallow.
If you try to run with these earbuds, you quickly notice how to housing has a tendency to pull the earbuds out, eventually forcing you to readjust them with your fingers. Longer eartips could solve this issue, and so could a slower-paced activity.
A USB port and volume controls can be found on the side of each earbud. The Micro USB port is covered by a small rubber flap, and the volume buttons have tiny protrusions on them to help you find them by touch alone.
The use of the Bluetooth 4.1 technology makes for an effortless pairing process and allows you to listen to your music for up to 5 hours without any interruptions.
The TaoTronics TT-BH10 Wireless Sports in-ear headphones have two audio drivers each side, offering balanced audio and wide soundstage. Just don’t expect them rival dual-armature earbuds costing several times more.
These are designed for casual music listening in loud environments. On that account, the volume on these can go up pretty high, allowing you to overpower music in your gym or noise from street traffic.
With approximately 25 feet or range, it definitely can’t be recommended to venture too far from your smartphone, but we can’t really say that we ever felt the need to do so. The one thing that bothers us was the low-quality microphone.
It doesn’t cope well with loud environments and the overall sound quality leaves a lot to be desired. It’s safe to say that the microphone wasn’t very high on TaoTronics’s list of priorities, and we can understand why.
