VERDICT

It’s true that fully water-proof earbuds are a rare breed among Bluetooth headphones. Many customers have learned not to trust manufacturers, who often sell their products are water-proof even if they really are not. Fortunately, there is at least one manufacturer that you can trust. Zivigo is our new brand of choice for truly water-resistant Bluetooth earbuds that can be used under water.

The Zivigo ZV-750 Bluetooth earbuds have received many excellent review scores and come recommended as the go-to solution for swimmers. Our extensive review will tell you everything you need to know in order to make a wise purchasing decision.

Design and Build Quality

The most important feature of the Bluetooth headphones by Zivigo is their IPX7 water-proof rating. It allows you to wear the earbuds in the pool, in the shower, or in the rain without causing any damage at all. It’s funny how some people look at you when they see you jumping into a pool with your expensive-looking Bluetooth earbuds in your ears.

Even the integrated microphone that allows the earbuds to double as a headset for your mobile devices continues to work under water. Of course, you cannot expect it to accurately pick up any sounds. The integrated voice prompt is there to tell you the phone number of the caller, so you can keep your smartphone in the pocket.

The multi-point functionality makes it possible to pair two devices with the Bluetooth earbuds at the same time for a shared listening experience. The integrated 85 mAh battery can last 6 to 8 hours of continuous playback time. It takes just 1.5 hours to charge it from 0 to 100 percent.

Sound Quality

We wouldn’t blame you for thinking that water-proof earbuds are likely to sound bad. We though so too, before the Zivigo convinced us otherwise. The sound is crystal-clear and the CVC 6.0 Noise Cancellation technology does a great job of reducing transmission noise to nearly nothing.

The only limitation that you have to deal with is the fact that water greatly reduces the total Bluetooth range. Swimming across the entire pool will likely results in some signal drops, and there’s not much you can do about it. However, using the earbuds in a smaller pool or at the beach is a great experience and a wonderful way how to relax.

The passive noise isolation of these earbuds is decently high, making them work fine even for work.

What’s in the Box

The box the earbuds come in contains a USB cable, hard-shell case, three sets of replaceable eartips, and a brief manual that tells you how the earbuds work and gives you detailed specifications about their water-proof rating.
