VERDICT

It’s incredibly difficult to find something negative about the TREBLAB XR800 earbuds. Depending on the size and shape of your ears, it’s possible that they won’t fit you as great as they do most people, but that’s something that applies to every pair of earbuds out there. As such, we can recommend the TREBLAB XR800 earbuds to all active people who want their music to sound just as good when lifting heavy weights or jumping rope as when listening at home.

The TREBLAB XR800 are attractive passive noise-canceling earbuds that rely on the latest Bluetooth 4.1 CSR technology to reliably deliver distortion-free sound over longer distances than ever before. The earbuds have been designed with sports and active use in mind, and we’re excited to tell you how they performed when put to use both in the gym and in our quiet studio.

Design and Build

If you’ve seen a few pairs of sporty Bluetooth earbuds, you won’t find the design of the TREBLAB XR800 earbuds all that innovative. They are designed to hook around your ears, with the cable going behind your neck. A microphone and a large battery are integrated into the housing itself, which means that the earbuds are bulkier than earbuds with a dedicated remote control box.

The TREBLAB XR800 are IPX7 waterproof, meaning they can survive full immersion in water for less than 30 minutes and at a depth of less than 1 meter. In other words, they won’t break no matter how much you sweat or how heavy the rain is.

We were blown away by how long the TREBLAB XR800 last on a charge. When listening to music at a lower volume level, we were able to achieve nearly 9 hours of continuous listening, which is simply amazing for earbuds of this size.

Sound Quality

Most manufacturers of sports-oriented earbuds go for a V-shaped sound signature to make music sound more dynamic, and the TREBLAB XR800 are no exception in this regard. They are bassy without lacking detail, and they are warm and musical yet surprisingly compatible with most music genres.

The TREBLAB XR800 also provide a great amount of passive noise isolation, which allows you to keep the volume down for a longer battery life. But if you like your music louder, the TREBLAB XR800 definitely have the power to satisfy your listening needs as well.

What’s in the Box?

The TREBLAB XR800 come with a hard-shell carrying case, a short microUSB cable for charging, three pairs of silicone eartips, and three pairs of memory foam eartips, which provide superior seal and comfort but don’t last as long as silicone eartips.
