VERDICT

Compared to the competition, the NuForce BE Sport3 deliver an amazing value and can be easily recommended to all active people who want to bring music to their workouts.

The NuForce BE Sport3 wireless Bluetooth in-ear headphones are easy to miss when shopping online. They don’t have endorsements from rappers and prominent sports figures behind them, they don’t have any cool, innovative features, and their price is completely average as far as mid-range Bluetooth headphones go. What makes them worth your money is all the things that you feel and hear—not see.

Build and Design

Milled out of aluminum, the NuForce BE Sport3 wireless headphones feel solid, rugged, and well-built. They weigh just a tad bit more than what you might expect a pair of headphones of this size to weigh, making them feel like a premium product.

When you don’t have the headphones in your ears, you can put them around your neck like a necklace, and use the magnets integrated to the back side of the housing to turn them into a necklace. When worn in this configuration, the headphones don’t flop around on your chest, and you don’t have to worry that they might fall on the ground.

Previous headphones from NuForce use a straight nozzle, which caused comfort issues to a handful of unfortunate owners. The BE Sport3 feature angled nozzles that allow for a deeper and more secure fit. Another major improvement is the IP55 rating, which guarantees that the headphones won’t be damaged by rain, dust, or sweat.

Right at the chin level is a three-button playback controller with a built-in microphone. Using the three buttons, you can turn the headphones on and off, play or pause music, accept or reject calls, skip tracks, and enter the pairing mode.

When listening at very high volume levels, the BE Sport3 can stay functional for about 6 hours. Turn the volume down a few notches, and you can expect to reach as much as 10 hours on a single charge.

Sound Quality

For headphones in this price range, the NuForce BE Sport3 don’t have anything to be ashamed of. Their sound signature is characterized by an exaggerated bass response, which you can tone down using a software or hardware EQ. Mids are slightly muddy, but highs make up for it with their exceptional clarity and detail. Just stay away from music that revolves around intimate vocal presentation, and you will have a blast with these headphones.

The included silicone eartips provide a surprisingly high level of passive noise isolation and a low level of leakage. Together, these qualities are what makes the BE Sport3 worth their price, despite the lack of any standout features.

What’s in the Box?

NuForce were very generous, including not 3 but 6 pairs of replaceable eartips and 3 pairs of earwings. Also in the box is a pretty carrying case with a carabiner and a micro USB cable for charging.
