VERDICT

The NoiseHush NX80 are fantastic, inexpensive headphones that you can toss inside your back and take them out only when you need them. When the occasion arises, you will be glad to have something that sounds so good and costs so little.

Finding a good pair of in-ear headphones while a budget can be difficult. The selection often comes down to compromises. Some choose to sacrifice build quality and design in favor of sound quality, while others test their luck by ordering no-name headphones from overseas. We think that you can do better than this. The NoiseHush NX80 Premium headphones are inexpensive, but they are on par with some of the best mid-range in-ear headphones on the market.

Build and Design

To ensure the most optimal fit, the NoiseHush supplies three pairs of eartips: small, medium, and large, for all day wearing comfort. The headphone nozzle in angled in a way that makes the earbuds easy to insert without any discomfort. The deeper your insert them, the better passive noise isolation and more secure fit you get.

They come in four different color combinations: black with blue, black with red, black with white, and white with red. We like all of them, but our favorite is the blue version. Even though these headphones don’t support Bluetooth connectivity, they still include an in-line microphone with noise canceling.

According to the manufacturer, these in-ear headphones are sealed against the ingress of water and dust, making them suitable even for outdoor adventures and sports. Amazon customers get 12-month extended warranty in addition to the included 12-month manufacturer’s warranty. That’s 2 years of warranty for free.

Sound Quality

The NoiseHush headphones advertise their premium 8 mm neodymium drivers designed for enhanced bass response and overall clarity. You should never expect any sub-$100 headphones to sound amazing, but the NX80 actually do come close. Their ability to block out most ambient noise allows you to hear every detail of your music.

The tangle-free cable resists microphonics and actively prevents tangling. Lows are impressively powerful without feeling bloated or muddy. They don’t outshine the mids, which are on-par with lower-end headphones from Sennheiser. In other words, they are clear, musical, and fun to listen to. Highs could be slightly improved, but it would be foolish to complain about them given how inexpensive the headphones are.

With the built-in microphone, you can take phone calls just as easily as you could with a dedicated hands-free headset unit but without any extra cost. Because the headphones leak little to no sound, they can be used as an affordable gaming headset.

What’s in the Box?

NoiseHush includes three pairs of replaceable eartips, and the earphones come packed in a nice cardboard box which can be used for storage.
