VERDICT

High quality and great sound packed into a stylish housing that resembles some kind of fashion accessory rather than a pair of Bluetooth headphones designed for active users; that’s how one could describe the Move&Groove GRV1479 Grv-E-Sport Bluetooth earbuds. Runners, in particular, will benefit from their light and comfortable construction and deep bass that can make one’s heart beat a bit faster.

Even the brand name suggest a pair of earbuds designed with active users in mind. Unlike many other headphones that target the same audience, the Move & Groove GRV1479 aim to be a bit classier and performance-oriented. Our testing showed that they are really among the best out there, and you should read more to find out exactly why.

Design and build quality

It’s impossible to talk about the Move&Groove Grv-E-Sport GRV1479 and not start with their design. The pointy, triangular construction with a very thin cable coming out of it looks futuristic and gorgeous. It’s just the right size to be noticeable but not uncomfortable or too large. The inner side holds 5 dedicated playback control buttons, and the right earpiece also features a built-in microphone. The buttons are very easy to use, and require a suitable amount of pressure to register.

Move & Groove claims up to 7 hours of music playback time via the built-in Lithium battery. We somehow managed to squeeze almost 8 hours out of these headphones, which was the first out of many pleasant surprises that were ahead of use.

No matter what activity we did, the earbuds always stayed securely in place. In fact, we would, at times, almost swear that had fallen out, if it wasn’t for our music playing. That’s because of their very lightweight construction, which makes you forget that you are using them in the first place.

Pairing is very quick and simple, thanks to the support for NFC. You can even connect two different devices at the same time, so you and your buddy can take turn selecting which track should play next.

Sound quality

The Move & Groove GRV1479 Running Bluetooth In-Ear Headphones have a silky smooth sound reproduction, which instantly pulls you in and keeps you there until you are finished working out. There’s absolutely no sibilance, and mids are just a bit warmer than what would be considered as a neutral reproduction.

The only thing that kept bugging us during our testing was the cable. It’s very prone to microphonics and any slight vibration is send right to your eardrums and amplified by the shape and design of the inner chamber. If you have a shirt clip laying around your house, you can greatly reduce the noise, but it still will be noticeable. Alternatively, you can just tape the cable to the back of your neck and hope the tape will hold.

What’s in the box?

The Move & Groove GRV1479 E-Sport Running Wireless NFC Bluetooth In-Ear Headphones ship with a Micro USB cable for charging, a small carry bag, 3 pairs of replaceable eartips, and a brief user manual.
