VERDICT

From the very first moment we saw these headphones, we knew that we are in for a treat. Indeed, the Monster iSport Freedom excellent in every possible way. If you are looking for a durable pair of headphones that you can take with your virtually everywhere you go, look no further.

“Monster” the popular manufacturer of Bluetooth or wired headphones and buds for sport, travel or simply just for pure listening pleasure has recently released the latest addition to their line of sports-oriented headphones called iSport Freedom. Their main purpose is to give users a complete freedom of movement coupled with Monster’s signature sound quality.

Design and Build Quality

The biggest attraction of the iSport Freedom Bluetooth headphones is their washable surface that can be cleaned with regular water. Most high-end headphones use leather or soft textiles that can easily get dirty, scratched, or damaged. These headphones are different. Monster has decided to use advanced plastic materials coated with the UV-protective layer. They also mate the whole headphones sweat-proof, which means that you can take them with you for a run in a rain or for a sweaty summer workout.

The yellow part of the headphones is actually highly reflective and designed to keep you safe on busy city streets when it gets dark outside. For obvious reasons, Monster couldn’t use traditional materials for ear cushions. Instead, they used antimicrobial ear cushions that provide hygienic, washable comfort. These cushions isolate just as well as memory foam cushions, but it’s almost impossible to damage them with water, sweat, or careless storage.

On-ear track and volume controls allow for easy adjustments on the move, and ControlTalk Universal cable enables you to use the headphones even with an empty battery.

Sound Quality

Monster and the company’s engineers had a tough challenge in front of them: how do you combine a highly functional design with great sound quality? After all, it should be expected that some compromises have to be made in order to create durable, sports-oriented Bluetooth headphones, right?

Not really. It’s true that the sound quality isn’t as impressive as what you get from other headphones in this price range, but it’s miles ahead of competing Bluetooth sports headphones. The sound is very musical, easy to listen to, and rich in detail.

The passive noise isolation of these headphones is fine-tuned to fit the needs of runners, gym-goers, and other fitness enthusiasts. The headphones block just enough sound to let you keep the volume reasonably low, but not enough so that you wouldn’t hear an incoming car.

What’s in the Box

Together with the iSport Freedom Wireless headphones comes a protective travel pouch, antimicrobial cleaning cloth, micro USB to USB cable, and 3.5mm audio cable.
