Design

MEE Audio M9 are well-known for their excellent design that enhances sound isolation and provides a truly amazing fit. Build quality

Durable metal construction houses a pair of high-performance drivers and provides a sufficient level of protection even when you just toss these earbuds in your backpack or pocket. The only weak point is the L-shaped plug that you use for connecting your earbuds to any audio source.

Many users experience problems with connection loss and permanent damage to the cable. This happens because the cable gets bend inside a pocket and the wire cannot conform to such extreme abuse for a long time. You can, of course, easily fix it by replacing the damaged plug or even the entire cable. However, considering their low price, it would probably be more cost-effective to buy a new pair.

Sound quality

MEE Audio M9 are closed headphones with highly accentuated lower frequencies and good performance in the rest of sound spectrum. The bass is very boomy and has a great amount of energy behind it. You will feel the sound pressure as it hits your eardrums.

Needless to say that electronic music, hip-hop, and other bass-heavy genres sound fantastic. As far as other genres go, M9 do a pretty good job. Highs are cut off a little bit too short but it is nothing that you would notice during outside use.

We really like how the noise-cancelling functionality enables us to play our music at lower volumes and thus keeps our ears healthy and safe.
