LyxPro HAS-30 Closed Back Over-Ear Headphones Review

Editor rating – 4.4/5

  • Amazing comfort
  • Affordable
  • Good sound quality
  • Great passive noise cancellation

  • Leaks a lot of sound

The LyxPro HAS-30 are great studio headphones that are far more versatile than many headphones intended for general listening. Their excellent passive noise isolation makes them great for commuting or listening at work, their wide sound stage is perfect for gaming, and their high level of detail and wide range suits virtually all music genres.

The LyxPro HAS-30 are marketed as studio headphones with excellent sound isolation, minimal sound leakage, and exceptional accuracy. But just because they are meant for the studio doesn’t mean that you can’t use them at home, or even at work.

Design and Build

The LyxPro HAS-30 combine traditional design with premium materials to achieve flawless comfort at a great price. Until you use uncomfortable headphones for a while, it’s hard to appreciate just how much comfort contributes to the overall listening experience. When you find headphones that fit you so well that you almost forget you have them on your head, you can fully immerse yourself in a breathtaking acoustic landscape and let your mind drift to wherever your music takes you.

For just around $50, you can experience just that with the LyxPro HAS-50. The generously padded earpads are so comfortable and breathable that your ears will feel like in heaven, and the soft headband provides just enough pressure to keep the headphones on your head without any discomfort.

The earcups swivel freely in all directions, and sturdy hinges make it possible to fold the headphones for easier storage inside the provided hard-shell case. Supplied with the LyxPro HAS-50 are two cables, which connect to the left earcup.

Sound Quality

Inside the LyxPro HAS-30 are 50 mm drivers with 100 dB sensitivity and a 15Hz-26KHz frequency response range. Straight out of the box, the headphones don’t have too much bass, but things get a lot better after only a few hours of burn-in.

Acoustic guitar and piano sounds are accurate and crisp, and the bass is punchy and clean. Professionally recorded vocals sound spacious and layered. For closed-back headphones, the soundstage of the LyxPro HAS-30 is surprisingly wide, and we can easily imagine using these headphones for movies and gaming.

While the LyxPro HAS-30 isolate a lot of outside noise, they also leak, which might be problematic if you intend to use them as studio headphones. For regular listening, the amount of leakage is perfectly acceptable.

What’s in the Box

The LyxPro HAS-30 ship with a hard-shell case and two cables. One cable is straight, and it’s perfect for home listening, and the other cable is coiled, making it great for listening while on the go.
