VERDICT

The Jabra REVO are one of the best bass-heavy Bluetooth headphones currently available on the market. Bass heads can finally enjoy a pair of headphones that doesn’t require tons of tinkering before it can deliver the desired sound. If you also take into consideration the beautiful design, fantastic durability, and option to use intelligent sound enhancements via the compatible application, you have a clear winner.

Jabra is a subsidiary of GN Netcom. It develops, manufactures and markets wireless and corded headsets for mobile phone users, contact centers, and office-based users. The Jabra REVO Wireless Bluetooth Stereo Headphones are directly competing with headphones from Beats, Monster, Bose, or Fidelio. With such a challenging completion, Jabra has to deliver something truly special to stand out and give customers a good reason to go with their product.

Design and Build Quality

In our humble opinion, the Jabra REVO are simply stunning. Their construction seems very organic and almost effortless in execution. All colors are subtle, yet presented in such a way that you can’t take your eyes away from them – a good mix between the discretion of Bose and the elegance of Fidelio.

The headband and earcups are padded with plush memory foam to enable long-term use free of discomfort. Jabra used high-quality breathable materials that let in enough air to keep your head and ears reasonably cold at all times.

Integrated touch controls on the headphone allow for easy music and phone call management, and the 3.5mm jack connector is there to give you the option to use the headphones without worrying about battery life – great for home listening.

Pairing the headphones with your device via Bluetooth is easy: hold the on/off/pairing switch in the pairing position for 3 seconds; pairing mode will be announced in the headphones, and the light will flash blue; follow the voice-guided pairing instructions to pair to your Bluetooth device.

Alternatively, you can pair the headphones via NFC: just tap your device to the headset to pair, turn the REVO Wireless on, and hold your smartphone against the NFC zone of the headphones.

Sound Quality

The main feature of the Jabra Sound headphones is the Jabra Sound application, which provides High Definition Dolby® Digital Plus enhanced sound. Believe it or not, the app can really bring your device to life and add extra depth and dimension to your music.

The sound produced by the headphones is warm and very pleasant to listen to. You can completely forget about listening fatigue or issues with sibilance – the Jabra REVO are silky smooth. They have so much punch that some people may find it overwhelming at first. We didn’t like it too initially, but the sound grew on us. Still, there’s always the option to tweak the sound signature with an equalizer on your smartphone.
