There are many different bass heavy headphones and earphones on the market. The vast majority of them completely fails to deliver on their promises with distorted bass frequencies and unpleasant listening experience. There is only a handful of high-quality models and iLuv iEP322GRN City Lights In-Ear Earphones are most definitely one of them. They a powerful, clear sounding, and even stylish. Before spending $50+ on a pair of brand earphones, give these puppies a try – you will be pleasantly surprised by just how good value they provide.
Some headphone and earbud manufacturers are capable of producing great sounding models, while other manufacturers excel in terms of style and presentation. iLuv is one of those companies who is known for being able to do both at the same time. Their new model will please all design cautious bass heads.
Design
iLuv iEP322SIL City Lights deserve a special attention for their excellent design. You can choose from 11 colors and their combinations (black, blue, orange, pink, red, silver, metallic blue, metallic black, metallic pink, metallic red, metallic silver). The metallic color variations look especially great as the somewhat matte finish and slightly different shape add to the premium look and feel of these cheap earbuds.
Build quality
Ultra-compact, lightweight design is what these earbuds are all about. If you like using your earbuds for work or any longer periods of continuous listening, you will instantly fall in love with iLuv iEP322SIL City Lights Earphones. Why? Because you will hardly notice you have them in your ears. You are going to hear only your music and at times catch yourself wondering where it is coming from.
The adjustable slider helps to offer a maximum possible comfort and gold-plated 3.5mm L-shaped plug proved to be durable enough to withstand even our careless handling. When it comes to build quality, iLuv managed to do everything right.
Sound
Many cheaper earbuds are either high-quality when it comes to their build or they sound great. Only rarely do they manage to achieve both at the same time. iLuv iEP322GRN City Lights earbuds do. We were very surprised with their sound and clarity of presentation.
The bass extends incredibly deep and is simply wonderful for watching movies and listening to bass-heavy music. Every explosion, every drum hit, and every bass drop will shake your brain and make your legs tap to the rhythm. The only thing that you need to keep in mind is that they can get dangerously loud.
Some earphones incorporate loudness limiting circuits but not these. Plugin them in a mp3 player or iPod that is turned to its maximum volume can result in some painful sensations. Always make sure that your volume is down and steadily increase it with earphone already in your ears.
What is in the box?
iLuv iEP322GRN City Lights In-Ear Headphones come with 3 pairs of different sized ear tips (small, medium, and large). It would be nice to see the manufacturer include at least one pair of foam ear tips, but it is not a real problem at this price.
