VERDICT

SADES SA-708 Gaming Headset isn’t amazing. The device has plenty of flaws that would instantly make it unappealing for most gamers out there. It’s made out of low-quality materials and, honestly, looks and feels very cheap. That being said, it offers fairly competitive sound quality and usable microphone that does a good job of substituting a regular stand-alone mic. If you can get it for less than $20, go for it.

Budget gamers from all over the world have it in many respects more difficult than their wealthy counterparts. Why is that? Well, it’s mainly because of the sheer number of choices available in the lower end of the market. Of course, there is also a plenty of choice in high-end, but most high-end devices actually perform great, whereas budget devices tend to be quite horrible. Does it mean that SADES SA-708 Stereo Gaming Headset with Microphone is just another low-quality device? Continue reading to find out the answer.

Design and build

Honestly speaking, the build of these headphones is also their biggest problem. The manufacturer opted out for the cheapest plastic available and it’s instantly apparent. SADES SA-708 feel fragile and their joints look like they will break any second.

The audio cable suffers from a poor connection and it’s not uncommon to hear cracking noises or even experience a connection loss.

These gaming headphones are available in several different colors schemes with the baby blue/black being the most popular. The headphones don’t look bad; they just lack the premium feel of more expensive models. The soft PU leather cushion ear-pad and head-pad is definitely comfortable to wear but probably won’t survive too long before it starts to crack and fall apart.

Sound quality

The sound quality is definitely where these headphones earn the most points. Compared to the underwhelming build quality, the sound is, at least, a few levels above what we would expect from these cheap gaming headphones.

They have a well-articulated, deep bass that makes gaming and movies sound fantastic. Midranges are prominent and fun-sounding while highs are better than expected, especially in terms of their detail and articulation. We wouldn’t recommend you throwing your pair of Sennheiser headphones away, but you need a good quality, cheap backup headphones, these would do the job just fine.
